Felix E. Martinez is a writer, marketing director, musician, and multimedia specialist who provides to his clients over 17 years of experience and a “one-stop-shop” of creative, strategic marketing, and multimedia solutions.
His broad range of skills includes marketing, public relations, and multimedia expertise, including video, audio, and DVD production. He currently serves as the marketing director for the South Florida Branch of AXA Advisors, LLC, a worldwide leader in financial protection and wealth management. He has also contributed to HDTV Etc. Magazine – where he founded its “Hi-Definition Listening” column covering the DVD-Audio, SACD, and DualDisc music formats – and has written for other national publications and international online resources in the areas of home theater and multimedia production. Recently, Martinez has added "playwright" to his list of skills and collaborated with Hispanic talk show host celebrity, Lili Estefan, on her segment in New Theatre's "Miami Stories."
Martinez graduated from Florida State University in 1990 with a degree in Media Communications, and his subsequent marketing and creative achievements have led to professional and personal recognition. His work with AXA Advisors contributed to the South Florida Branch being honored by The Beacon Council – Miami-Dade County's official economic development partnership – with a 2005 Beacon Award in the category of Financial Services. His marketing and public relations efforts also led to the branch being recognized by the South Florida Business Journal as a finalist for the 2005 DiversityWorks! Award in the category of Corporate Diversity. Also in 2005, Martinez was recognized as a finalist in the South Florida Business Journal's "Up And Comers" awards, which recognizes outstanding young business leaders under the age of 40 who have achieved a solid measure of success in a variety of professions, businesses, and non-profit organizations.
Martinez is a voting member of the Florida Branch of NARAS (the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences) – which produces the popular televised Grammy® Awards program and helps bring music education to public schools through its MusiCares® program – and has earned awards for his musical talents, including certificates of achievement for the 1990, 1993, 1994 and 1998 national Billboard Magazine songwriting competitions.
He is also dedicated to supporting the South Florida community and currently serves on the board of the Institute For Child & Family Health, and is involved with AXA Advisors as a donor in the formation of the Carnival Center For The Performing Arts.
